I haven't been very active in awhile on here, but I have a question. My husband and I have been praying about a decison on changing churches due to the fact that the church we currently attend my husband has attended since he was small and I have attended since we married. The issue we have is that our boys are the only children there and I and my husband are the only "young adults" and we're in our 30s. We are really struggling with this because we feel pulled in both directions. We want our children to have more involvement with the church and that means somewhere with a youth program, but on the other hand our family enjoys going to the small church, but I worry that my children are not getting the guidance and fullfillment that they need there. So I guess what I'm saying is.....Is leaving my little church just so my kids can have more activities and people there age ok? I have prayed and prayed on this but I just can't get that sense of peace that I usually get when I've gotten my answer. Please opinions are needed and wanted.

You don't have to join a big church to have activities for the kids. I feel lost in the crowd at a big church.

Well for me personally I like a small church too. There are some out there with youth activities & younger people but hard to find. Not all but alot of the big churches have alot of people because they preach a "cotten candy" gospel. Sad to say but most folks today do not want to hear the true word & all of the word because it convicts them of their sins, they would rather someone make them feel good. Being a Christian & having the Holy Ghost in your heart means you have peace even through the bad. Now I'm no fan of those preachers that get up & condemn everyone & everything everytime they preach either but we do need to hear the word & get convited to grow as Christians, but it needs to be God's word that convicts & judges us not man. Praying God will show you both what to do & where to do it that would be in His will for your family. Our church is small & some of our youth meetings only have 4 to 6 kids. I struggled for awhile being a youth leader about stepping down because I work better with teens than the smaller ones but God convicted me that if there was just one child who showed up it was worth more than all the time I put into it. God Bless!!!
