Hey guys im new here but have seen many of your names on other boards but i figured i would do a little bit of a post here to share with you my buildup of my Tacoma. I have been collecting parts since i bought my axle in january, from a fellow member here i believe, and have been broke ever since. I am going to be cutting up the truck and doin this all starting friday at lunch time and if all goes to plan, will be drving it out of the shop on sunday. I have a dana 44 with warn premium hubs, 4.88s spooled for now. for springs i will be using stock 7 leaf waggy springs with crossmembers and shackles from FROR and bilstein 5125 14" shocks. i have made my own tie rod and draglink and am using SKYs tall arms on flat top knuckles. you all get the jist of it. pretty generic but will be a big step for me from IFS and i cant wait. i will post up pics as it all comes together. wish me luck and if ur in hickory feel free to stop by and lend a hand and i can shoot u my # in a pm. thanks guys

im trying to keep it as low as i can and with the waggy springs there almost flat so i cant go wrong with that. the problem with tacos is the shackles dont go thru the frame like older generation trucks so that already puts me several inches taller than the older IFS trucks but i hear they great flex so i will let u know how it turns out....

i forgot my camera but my buddies dad took a bunch of pics periodically throughout the weekend and the after shots of the flex on the fork lift and once he emails them to me i will post them up. but that was such a hectic weekend and for anyone thinking of doing a SAS to a IFS truck beware and keep and auto supply store and hardware store nearby.

Heres a few we took with the camera, basically the same pics but just bigger and better quality. im still waiting on the rest but he was to lazy to send multiple emails with all of them.

I got the front tire 32" off the ground before the rear came off and when i flexed from the back we measured 34" before the front came off. respectable i feel and i got teh ride height i was looking for. about 23.5" to the bottom of the frame on 33s and will soon be moving up to 35-37 depending on what i decide one.

Good looking Taco. What kind of beadlocks? Bart?
Front Range is great stuff. I've used some of it in the past.
See you at TTORA in tellico next June?
