I'm needing a new front drive shaft now that my rzeppa joint is starting to spit grease. I'm thinking a 1350 double cardan style shaft, but don't have much experience with different manufactures of them. Any suggestions?

Go to Bowman driveshaft in Boones creek and he can make anything you want.

MY buggy on 44's runs with 1310 or 1330 joints. I think 1350 is overkill unless you have rockwell axles.

arn't 1350 joints the standard for a 1 ton axle? I'll see what the cost difference is between 1330 and 1350 joints... if its close to the same is there any reason not to go w/ the beefier joints?

No in 1978 F350 Dana 60 which is one of the most desired axles came with 1310 joints. Also 1310 joints have more flex or movement than 1350.

The cost is significant. Also the bigger joints require a bigger diameter driveshaft which is more likely to get damaged.

Ok, so a 1310 ds sounds like it might be a better choice for a daily driver / trail rig then. would the more flexible joints cause more or less driveline vibes at speed with 4.88 or 5.13 gearing (and 35's or 37's)? Last thing I want to do is bust my tcase on the highway.

Sorry for the thousand questions... I just want to get this right the first time.

No it won't cause more vibrations. If you need any parts I have several. Pm me if interested.

The joints won't cause vibrations. Also, a third for Bowman's. He knows what he is doing and will set you up right.
