I've never had any bias ply tires. I like to drive my jeep on the road and I like it to drive good when I do. Jason says I wont like bias ply. What do you all think? I'm thinking of getting 36x13.50 IROKS and the radials are a lot more than the bias.

Thanks

if your running somethink like an irok, i doubt you'd notice the difference. bias tend to flatspot when parked. mine rides like and amusement park attraction for the first mile in the morning till the sidewalls warmup.

I love my bias Iroks too. Even after it's sat for a couple weeks there's no noticeable flat-spotting. Mine are balanced with about 2000 airsoft pellets each, and they ride pretty good.

Remember that with a bias ply tire you will have a higher roll resistance, and it will make a difference in fuel mileage. Depending on the tire it can be quite noticeable. When I switched from a street radial to a swamper radial tsl, I lost 6 mpg on the high way. If you are already running a mud tire you probably won't see that big of a difference. I don't think the difference in mileage would offset the cost difference of the tires, but it is something to think about.
My next set of tires will be A/Ts, that should bring me back up to 35 mpg on the highway instead of 30. Not that I'm complaining, off-road I get around 26 mpg when I'm wheeling at URE.
