I am upgrading the steering to 1 ton parts and getting ready to start on my cage. Also gettin ready to build a slip and twist antiwrap bar

as far as the cage goes i am ordering a kit from KOZ offroad that is 1 3/4"x.120 DOM and i want to add some triangular bracing and was wondering if i could use standard tubing. i have seen alot of different opinions on this and was wondering what you all thought.

and steering i see alot of people using .250 wall tubing but cant seem to find any. will .120 wall suffice?

.120 wall hrew will be fine for cage bracing. My while cage is .120 hrew.

For steering I would go .250 or thicker. I've bent and cracked more steering links than I care to remember. My last tie rod was .250 wall and I bent it pretty easy. Now it's .250 wall with .120 sleeved over top of it 3/8" wall. Hopefully this will hold up better.

I agree with Justin.

My current tie rod is 1.25 5/8" wall 4130 Alloy and it's bent. My next one I think will be aluminum. It theoretically springs back to shape.

I have some tubing I can help you out with. You need about .25 wall or thicker for tierod. You can go a little thinner on the drag link , but I probably woun't use HREW or .120 wall
