well recently i did a soa on my 92 yj, I took it out 2 times before the clutch decided to die, but during those run i notice that axle wrap was a bigger factor than i thought it would be since it is only a 2.5. but during the lift i didnt reuse the old factory track bar on the rear. well my idea is the take the old track bar cut it up and use it to make a ladder bar for the rear. will still need one more joint to make it complete and i plan on just weld a shakle to the factory skid plate to attach it. so do you guys think this will work, if a weld it to the skid plate will that be enought to hold it or should i use the frame? if you know of something better that would be good too. i just want to here some feed back on this idea.

Go to the frame the skid plate coule get bent, and cause problems later. The frame should be there all of the time.

I'm building one for the xj soon. My bet would be go tot he frame or build an addtional crossmember (this is what I am doing). My skids will then hook to that and be really strong.
