And I know whats wrong with your car.....its a Talon. Which is also the older Eclipse. They always had a bad rap for breaking down.
But don't feel so bad. Yesterday on my way to work...I had t o change a flat tire. adn later on in the day my Glasses broke, so I couldn't see to well. but I didn't get down about it at all. For me it was a good day. i got to Fly instead of work. and I made it to the meet and greet where I was able to ride on some of the trails.
Don't swet it. Just pray some and things will start turning around.

on the talon -
with the key switched on, does your radio/accessories come on? if so, check your ignition fuses next to the battery.
if not, it may be that the battery needs charging and/or your terminals need to be cleaned..hopefully the starter didn't die
my laser (talon/eclipse's sister car) started popping those when i had a grounding out remote wire (from a stereo install)
the remote wire for my amp was grounding out on some toolboxes in the trunk ##( it took 3 new fuses before i figured out what was causing it.
replaced the fuses and everything was great....
if I remember correctly, the fuses are sort of square

Here is some advise that might help ya. Slow down and you won't have to run from the law. Go to bed and get sleep and you won't fall asleep at the wheel. How's that work for ya?

Questions are a good thing. Accepting responsibility for one's actions are, too. Get your license, then ride the scooter. And, if you "rabbit" from the law, he'll getcha one day.
On the starter deal - it sounds like the relay is energizing (if it's clicking), so confirm that with a test light. Then take a test light and see if power is leaving the relay, then see if power is reaching the starter. If yes on all, then you will need to see if sufficient power is reaching the starter (use a DVM). Then post results for us.
