Stopped at a couple of places today and priced some new rubber, boy was I sticker shocked! The Bighorns came in with the best price so far, $146 apiece at Morgan's in Kingsport but here is the eye opener, the BFG MT in 33x10.50x15 was $200 dollars a pop! The 12.50's were a couple bucks more. Did check another Goodrich dealer...he didn't even list the 10.50, but the price was the same on the wider mudder. Haven't priced the Cooper STT yet, those are really the shoes I've got my eye on. May have to take Vince's advice and go check out the Co-op! $$$ :(

Call these guys http://www.ntwonline.com/
Call them instead of doing it online. They give better prices over the phone.
BFG MT K/M was $172. I'd bet they are cheaper when you call them.
They are in WV so shipping is like 3 days.

Up until about 4-5 years ago you get BFG's reasonable, but the last time I priced a set AT-ko's they had about doubled in price.

I paid $190 each for my BFG A/T 31's. It's pricey, but I am happy with those tires. Totally worth it.

Yup I've had the BFG's too, was tickled with 'em. Hence my interest in getting the MT's. Well that and they and Interco are the only ones I know of that make tall/skinnies. Tall being a relative term here!
I'll do some calling around, could probably get one of the locals to mount and balance and still come out ahead. I need to call DC4WD anyway, a matter of gittin' some new (correct) front shocks. Something else I've been procrastinating about.

TrXus MT....'nuff said ;-)
I caught www.4wheelparts.com doing a "buy 3 get one free" deal on all Interco (incl Swamper & Bogger) tires. I paid their regular price (as of July 2nd, 2005) of $148/ea for (4)33x12.50, and got my spare for free. :smokin: Best tire I've ever had, period. 18,000 street miles & a whole lotta trail abuse later, they're about 30% worn. 8)

Been eyeballin' the Truxus too. Good price as far as mail order goes also.Does anybody retail Interco around here? Checked on the Coopers today at Humble in J.C. they were about $40 more than the Bighorns(total). Did notice there was a Cooper ST, still pretty agressive looking tire but different than the STT. Could scarf a set of those for $575. Will have to check Clint's dealer out and see if I could do better on the STT. Decisions, Decisions!

Hard telling what he will say. Great guy though. Go with The stt. The st's are plain and boring. Also on mail ordering the thing that is bad if a tire goes bad its hard to get them to exchange them out. If you get it local its easy.
