Here is the newest etching I am working on. It is not finished yet but should be some time tomorrow. This is the most detailed I have gotten on one as of yet but it has been a blast. I started on it last night and just have some detail and shading left to do. It is an 8x10 frame. Just thought I'd share it with you guys. Let me know what you think.

can you flip the image? i'm not sure i'm ready for Jesus to be left handed  but seriously, looks good. are you etching that into glass? i used to know a guy who did glass with a little sandblaster.

Yes it is etched into glass with a dremel and diamond tipped bits. I have seen the sandblasters and wouldn't mind getting into that later on.

do you have to worry about heat building up and cracking the glass?

I haven't had any problems yet. I keep the tip moving so I realloy don't think heat will ever be a problem. What I worry about more is hitting a hard spot in the glass and it cracking. Picture frame glass is pretty low quality but so far the worst I have gotten from hard spots is a bad place in a line or shaded area.

Dang Thump that's a really nice piece of work!!!!
DO you wear a mask to keep from sucking up the glass dust or do you get that much dust off them?

They recommend using a mask but I haven't figured out how to smoke and wear a dust mask. So no I don't wear a mask but do work outside. And there is not much dust at all. Thanks for the compliments I will try to post up finished pics tomorrow. Then I have to start my next one which is an eagle head. I have been thinking about doing some for sale.

Sweet handiwork there mang! ;-)
btw, I've found out that a cigarette fits into the drinking tube of mil-spec gas masks pretty good.

Once I turn on the dremel I just let God take over and guide my hand from there. He deserves the credit not me. All great gifts come from God.
