hano (JR) and I (Old Soldier) live on the coast of South Carolina so it will be a drive for us to attend any trail rides but I hope we can work it out to run with you folks often. It all depends on JR's work schedule, he is a fireman, and has rotating shifts. I am retarded (according to my wife for doing this stuff), oops I should have said retired so I have more time than money but if JR makes a ride I will be right behind him in my Khaki Rubi

It would be great to have you guys up here. There might be enough beds around as well if you want to stick around longer.

Gordon thanks for the invite but I know JR would not be able to make it because he is taking time off to go to River Rock the following week. That weekend I will be running at Gulches (upstate SC) with Jeep Monkey's club. I will keep informed about your events and try to make them whenever possible. maybe I could locate a SPAT (Self Propelled Anti-Tank) rig in case I have to take on one of George's tanks to get into the farm

Jim:
You and JR are welcome to ride with us anytime. There are several of us here in Clover, SC, Junior (Retired), Rtaylor, Webb, Jeff Rhinehart, and me who try to ride regularly. Matter of fact Junior is leading a ride in Robbinsville May 11, 12th. We will go to robbinsville on Friday night probably try to stay at the San Ran motel due to trailer parking and ride all day Saturday. Some may try to return on saturday night and others may stay over and return on Sunday. There will probably be a couple of folks from Clemson join us also.
It really is unfortunate that other than Gulches (3 plus hours of travel for us) there are no legal trails in SC. I have been trying to work with PRT and the SC trails coordinator in Columbia to get some Jeep trails established. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, Webb tore his Jeep up so bad at Gulches he just cut the rear of the body off and tubed it out. He also deystoryed his windsheild frame and removed it. So, be careful. It is not a big place 90 acres. I did not care for gulches when I went .

Yellowjeepcj- It is unfortunate that there are no "legal" places in SC to ride. When I lived in Seneca and a memeber of Dixie 4X4 Club we tried to work with the forestry service to get a trail in the upstate but they would not cooperate. My last time at Gulches was a muddy mess. It took 2 power washes and 3 home washes to get all the mud out of the undercarriage. I hate mud  . I am a rock climber.
I have not been to Robinsville yet. I will watch 4X4Grace and hope to get together on a ride. It sounds like this is a great group to associate with.
