Wow - I have been away from this site for WAY too long!!! How has everyone been? Glad to see that Grace is still here! :icon_mrgreen: Jules, the kids and I have been great; the Lord has blessed us through hard times in the past year. The economic blow to the automotive industry affected me; my boss fought back tears when they handed my permanent lay off to me. But through that, God enabled me to pay off alot of bills so that we could live with relative comfort while I draw unemployment - and He saw to it that I was approved for TAA!

Still have both of our Jeeps, although they've been more garage & yard ornaments lately than anything lol. The TJ's Dana turdy five finally gave out, busted a spider gear several months ago. Our tax return enabled me to get alot of goodies for it - like new gears for the 8.8 and D30, an Eaton E-Locker for the 8.8, and all the TJ brackets to weld on the 8.8 (from M.O.R.E.) Here's one pic:

I was also able to get a Hobart Handler 210 and new oxy-acetylene outfit! My problem getting all the Jeep stuff installed is lack of space - I have too many FSJ parts taking up space in my garage LOL. That, combined with the fact that I don't have funds to continue my plans for the ole Blue FSJ - means its time to let go of it. Since several peeps here have memories of it, and since ole Blue still bears the 4x4Grace name, I think its only appropriate that I offer it to Grace members before anyone else. Look for a post in the for sale forum.

I have missed you all, reconnecting with some of you on facebook brought me back here. I hope everyone is blessed and doing well!

I'll try not to be brother! How've ya been? My funds are too tight to allow much wheeling, but if yall are near my neck of the woods I'll gladly hitch a ride in an open seat until the TJ is finished.

Hobart 210 is a nice piece of equipment.

Curious - why did you buy new brackets instead of cutting off the old ones and welding them on the 8.8?

 It's great to see familiar faces again - I've missed you guys! Marty, I'm sure that Beth would love seeing Madi again! Shawn - the M.O.R.E. brackets are laser cut & pre-fit, no hassles trying to fit the recycled brackets. And in its current state, the TJ can limp around - pulled the rear driveshaft & using front wheel drive. As long as the rear axle isn't powered or doesn't make tight turns, it doesn't go BANG lol. If I carved up the D turdy five, the TJ would be stuck in one place. Rob - I think I still have your #, we'll have to touch base sometime brother!

Chris, Johnny, Bill - great to see you guys again too! :icon_mrgreen:

Rob - just now freed up the space I needed in my garage (sold the FSJ and all its spare parts) - now I need to get busy cutting the Explorer brackets off the 8.8, weld the new TJ brackets on, paint it, and install the new gears. Then I need to install the matching gears in the D30. Before I start the gears tho - there are 2 tools left for me to get (in order to finish it) - 12ton shop press, and pinion depth tool. Probably will sell one of my pistols to pay for the rest of the stuff needed LOL
