Throw some super glue and some electrical tape on it. It'll be fine. :laughing1:

Yeah, I forgot that step. Diesel fuel also works well, and I'm not kidding. Try it the next time you cut yourself.

used the tape, considered the thinner but opted to hold off  for whatever reason, it don't hurt a all. last night the whole side of my finger felt like it was on fire but i washed it and put peroxide on it and now i'm typing on it. must not have a lot of nerves under the nail once you get past the quick.

Ya use the thinner ,diesel,or gas then light a match and carterize the wound it will stop the bleeding and leave a great scar. HA. Sorry to hear about the accedent.

I really do use laquer thinner, it will disinfect and help take the soreness out.

Yes it to occasionally use the thinner at work to disinfect cuts. but when something better is available you should use that.

so i was changing a ujoint on the side of the road using a big cresent wrench as a hammer and managed to nail my cut finger good. which reopened the wound under the nail and now my fingers swollen with a nice bloodblister on it. so i've decided i should just sterilize the bandsaw and take the whole finger off since it's obviously in my way

That sounds like a good plan. You may just want to nip the top off a little. I think that would help out more than anything. Rob

go ahead and paint a bullzeye on it. That way you can at least score some points while your at it.

A compound miter saw is quicker, I tried it last year but my finger likes me and wanted to stay. Lawnmowers are good for toes also, I got three about 10 years ago (toes not lawnmowers). So if you want fast removal of the finger in question there are few more options. The band saw would hurt alot 'cause it would give you time to reconsider.

I dunno if I can read any more of this. I saw a guy lose the tip of his finger once at a racket ball court. He was trying to enter the through the door and the door was slammed right as his fingers were just passed the lip. pulled skin off two fingers like a glove. eck :pukeleft:
