I have been looking for a CJ7 for awhile, and finally found one last week. I wanted something that already had some mods, but they had to be ones I wanted. I could only find either completely stock or completely tricked out. Finally, one showed up that had a lot of what I wanted.

Specs:
1976 CJ7
304 auto w/ D300 tcase
Waggy D44s w/ 3.54:1 gears
SOA with high steer
a lot of other stuff

I drove it home from Atlanta yesterday, no problems except some leaks through the cowl. There are still some things I want to do, but I can actually go wheelin now. I'm pretty happy.

Awesome. Post some pics. When are you gonna test it out and what trail?

As far as testing it out, I've only ridden along on the group ride to Shady Valley (thanks Jazzman). I'm hoping to tag along if someone is setting something up one of these weekends. I don't know all the places to go, so do not feel comfortable trying to set something up.

nice find, it looks good! among your list of mods you may want to consider relocating the shoulder restraint seat belts/harness - theyre looped over the rollcage way too high.

Nice deal. I might do Horse Creek this coming weekend. I have got to wheel somewhere before Harlan. It's easy, takes about 3 to 4 hours. Would be a good test for the CJ. Watch the Grace Events section.

Good looking rig. But do as simo said. The belts are going to either hurt you or not help save you.

Yeah, the seat belts are already on the list. I'd like to have some knowledgable people look it over to help me figure out how to best make these improvements. Maybe when I get out for a ride.
