Happy Easter indeed. My GF and I went to the Moravian Sunrise Service at Old Salem (Winston Salem NC). It was a long drive that early in the AM... but well worth the trip. Very moving ceremony.

We started at the church above, and then walked through Old Salem to the cemetery while 3 bands played hymns in along the route. When we all got to the cemetery, all three of the bands came together to play for the rest of the service..

This was about 1/3 of the crowd. There were more behind us, and another group of people to our right.

The sun broke over the horizon with about 10 minutes left in the service. Pretty impressive timing, and a great way to end an Easter morning service.

Happy Easter to one and all. Let us not forget what this time of year is all about. Not the cany and bunnies, but the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
