That's nice.
Hayden loves trains and his papaw got him an HO set for Christmas. I'd like to find some more tracks for it and build him a shelf near the ceiling of his room and put it on it.

I used to be into the HO train stuff too! I just cleaned out a building at my parents house and pulled what was left of the tracks off the board, and put it all in a few boxes. I never did finish it, but I had big plans of a mountain and some tunnels. It's amazing the amount of time and effort people put into their layouts.

It is unbelievable how much time, effort, and money is put into these things. I love this hobby though. And, It keeps me off the streets at night:icon_mrgreen:

You need to talk to a friend of mine from my radio club. Paul Marcum, he has a layout in his garage that's unreal. He lives on bell ridge of carters valley. If you would like to see it some time let me know and I will call him to let him know your comming.

When I was a kid, we lived in a very small house, so Dad built a 4X8 sheet of plywood type of deal that was hinged on my bedroom wall. It hinged down right over my bed - made a great train board. Track was attached to it, but cars etc had to be removed to stow the board.
I never was a huge train buff, but I do still have my Lionel 027 set from the mid 50's.

His Mamaw and Papaw took him last Saturday and from what all they were telling me I may take him back just so I can see it.

That's a great idea Gordon. I'll just have to propose that to my building super (wifie) and see if she'll allow that on her freshly new painted walls and doors!:eusa_pray:
